Royal Doulton Character Jug of the Year, Vice-Admiral Lord Nelson, model D6932. This is the Battle of Trafalgar edition, marking 21st October 1805, and carries the quotation "England expects that every man will do his duty".

The jug is hand made and hand decorated, modelled by Stanley James Taylor. It shows Nelson in a black bicorn hat with yellow trim, wearing an eye patch, with a naval jacket, silver medal and star. A model ship with a flag forms the handle. This special edition was only available during 1993 and is backstamped with the Royal Doulton mark and a 1992 copyright.

Condition: Good
Condition Details: Glazed surfaces are glossy and the hand-painted detail is clear. There is some light staining and dirt marks on the cream ship sails, and light staining inside the jug. The base has a few small marks and discolouration. No chips, cracks or breaks are visible in the photos. Please check the photos carefully.
